17 September, September 16th, the National Diamond Tools Quality Supervision and Testing Center (chips) was unveiled in Ezhou, Hubei.


The National Center for quality supervision and inspection of diamond tools is a provincial professional inspection institution established by the Hubei Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau in 2006. In June 7th this year, the State Quality Inspection Administration agreed to establish the National Center for quality supervision and inspection of diamond tools. The center covers an area of 30 mu, with an area of 13000 square meters and a total investment of 32 million 600 thousand yuan. It is a public inspection platform and a scientific and technological innovation platform for Ezhou diamond industry. The center has 137 sets of diamond tool professional testing equipment, such as diamond morphology analysis system, sawtooth bond strength tester, sawblade rotary strength test machine and so on. It is composed of 2 well-known experts and 8 doctorate professional technicians of the co construction parties, with a total of 40 personnel of various engineering and technical personnel. The inspection ability of two series of all items (parameters) of diamond single crystal and diamond circular saw blade, and the inspection ability and qualification of 6 kinds of products such as diamond circular saw blade, diamond fine grinding piece and assorted file.


According to the principle of "inspection and testing, technical research and development, training consultation and standard service", the center has been jointly built with China University of Geosciences, Central South University (Hunan), the national abrasive grinding research center and the Ezhou Institute of new materials research institute and other scientific research institutes, and has developed a multi function sawing performance test department. Drafting and demonstration of DB42/390-2006 "diamond circular saw blade safety requirements" local standard.


Based on the opinion of the State Quality Inspection Administration and the expert group in September 7th, the central group of the center for diamond quality inspection and construction has perfected the batch work book and reported to the State Quality Inspection Bureau, marking the official start of the center construction work.
